The perfect example of how one mistake can change your life lies with Katherine Revere. The simple act of falling in love started a string events that would lead to her untimely death. Traveling from Manhattan to Malone with ten dollars in her pocket, Katherine resorted to hitchhiking for the majority of the trek. After climbing into the wrong car just ten minutes from her destination, she was brutally beaten and raped on an abandoned road hidden my a small forest. Left for dead, an unlikely friend did what he could to save her... by finishing the job.
Merrick McKennitt changed Katherine that day. Whether he did so out of pity or loneliness is unclear, but regardless of his motivations, both of them would be paying the consequences for an eternity.
